We’re excited to share that Barton Jones Packaging Ltd is investing in another box maker, alongside our existing machines, to expand our fast-turnaround corrugated packaging capabilities. The machine is scheduled for installation this September and represents a significant step forward in the range of boxes and components we can manufacture in-house.
What the new machine gives us
The new equipment will allow us to produce large format corrugated boxes up to 2.8m wide with unlimited length in heavy-duty grades. That opens the door to packaging projects that were previously difficult or expensive to handle with our existing setup.
It also gives us the flexibility to manufacture more complicated traditional die-cut styles without the high tooling costs normally involved. For customers who need a bespoke fit or a specialist design, that means shorter lead times and lower upfront investment.
With multiple slitting and cross-cut stations, we’ll be able to produce inserts, pads and other packaging components quickly and efficiently, all from the same machine run.
Installation and specialist projects
Installation is planned for September this year, and we’re already looking to speak with businesses that have specialist packaging requirements or projects where this capability could help. If you’re currently sourcing large or complex corrugated packaging from multiple suppliers, or struggling with long lead times, we’d love to see how we can simplify things.
More storage, better service
Alongside the machine investment, we’re also increasing our warehouse and storage capacity so we can offer more bespoke stock-holding solutions for customers. That means we can manufacture packaging in advance and hold it on your behalf, ready for call-off when you need it.
