What usually goes wrong

A pack with four components has four part numbers, four stock checks, four chances to run out and a bench operation that eats warehouse labour every single day.

Folding blanks and fitting inserts is also space-hungry work. It clutters despatch and pulls people off fulfilment at exactly the wrong time.

And every minute spent building packaging is a minute not spent shipping product, which is the only part of the process your customer pays for.

Real example

Four part numbers down to one

A customer's despatch team was pulling a box, a foam base, a foam cap and a printed card from four different locations, then building the pack before the product could even be picked.

We now manufacture all four components, assemble them into a single finished kit and hold the stock, delivering weekly against their schedule.

Their system carries one part number, stock control got simpler, and the bench labour that used to go into building packaging went back into fulfilment.
