Packaging for manufacturers with production lines
Line-side packaging supply that keeps pace with production: consistent specs, kitted components, held stock and scheduled call-off.
The problem
What usually goes wrong
On a production line, packaging is a component like any other. If it is late, wrong or inconsistent, the line stops, and the cost of that dwarfs the price of the box.
Buying packaging in emergency quantities is expensive, and storing a year of it is space you would rather use for product or finished goods.
Multiple suppliers make it worse: several delivery windows, several specifications and no single person accountable when something does not arrive.
Typical pack
Packaging components we usually specify
- Bespoke boxes specified once and repeated consistently
- Trays, partitions and fitments matched to line pack patterns
- Kitted component sets supplied as one part number
- Tape, film, strapping and void fill on the same schedule
- Pallets, edge protection and stretch wrap for finished-goods despatch
Materials
Relevant materials and board grades
- Board grades fixed by specification, not by what happens to be available
- Single wall through to triple wall depending on line output and pallet pattern
- Machine stretch film and machine tape matched to your equipment
- Foam and corrugated fitments where the line needs a fixed pack position

Real example
One supplier, one delivery, no line stops
A manufacturer was buying boxes from one supplier, foam from another and consumables from a third, with three delivery schedules and regular near-misses on stock.
We took over the full list: manufacturing the boxes, cutting and fitting the foam, supplying the tape, film and strapping, and holding it all for weekly call-off.
They now get one delivery, one invoice and one point of contact. Packaging-related line stoppages stopped being a topic in their production meeting.
