Warehouse Operative

Barton Jones Packaging are a well-established supplier and manufacturer of corrugated cartons, bespoke boxes and a large variety of packaging. Based in Letchworth Garden City, we are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative to work as part of a growing team.

• Receiving goods into the warehouse, completing paperwork and checking quantities and quality.
• Loading and dispatching goods, ensuring packaging and quality standards are met for safe delivery.
• Maintaining a safe working environment, following health & safety regulations and PPE requirements.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to process efficiency.
• Inspecting incoming and outgoing goods for accuracy, quality and damage, quarantining non-conforming items where necessary.

• Forklift licence for pivot truck preferred but not essential.
• The job involves a fair amount of manual lifting and moving of stock, so candidates must be physically fit.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to use your own initiative and common sense.
• Strong computer skills, with an ability to pick up warehouse software easily.
• A flexible can-do approach and great work ethic is essential.
